Thanks John: You and Dave both seem to point to a grounding issue. I'll re-investigate that. We fixed the radio on the Tomahawk by cleaning up the grounding. > Resistance in the connections can result in some of the whine getting into the plane's electrical system, as can a failed or failing diode. There are 6; if one fails then there is a "missing bit" in the DC for every revolution of the alternator.
