I have been becoming less than happy with the look of the brake lines leading from the landing gear knee to the wheels themselves, so decided to replace at least one of them at annual. They are aluminum tubing, not hose in the last part of the run. Lee at Skyport asserted that, for the Cleveland STC, the whole of the line is supposed to be one single hose, with no metal tube portion at all. So he's shipping me the hose kit, which apparently contains some clamps along with the hoses to do the retrofit. Apparently it's also what you get even if you replace the lines to your Goodyear brakes. Has anyone else here done this job? Any gotchas, like where the clamps should go so things don't get out of whack when the gear articulates? I'm hoping it's just a matter of screw in the new hoses, screw down some clamps to the fairings or what-not, and bleed the brakes when the IA arrives to do the annual.
