Ted, I do not see where spec A-718 requires baffles? A-718, "110. Engines" states that the 415C is eligble for a C85 with new propeller and only that the C75 modifications are required and the wide trim tab. No mention of baffles. A-787 does require baffles but that spec is for the model D and on. FWIW my 415C had a C85 but no baffles and the thin trim tab when I bought it. It ran hot. It now has baffles, wide tab and an oil filter. It no longer runs hot.
