Well it seems everybody, but me, remembers this one. (Though the "when" varies quite a bit, which supports my urban legend theory.) According to the Darwin Awards site, the guy went around giving lectures for a few years. Then, at age 44, walked into the woods and killed himself. Now don't misunderstand me. Suicide is a sad and tragic thing, but you've got to wonder how tightly this man was wound. Don't you? There are several sites on the net that give the details. There is even a site that has the audio between him and someone on the ground. I don't know what kind of radio he had with him, but since he was a truck driver, maybe it was a CB.
