Jim, of course my prayers are with you.

Don't give up yet. My father was diagnose with terminal cancer in 1959.
The doctors gave him 6 months. (Remember, cancer treatment wasn't
then what it is now.) He passed away in 1995 at the age of 78.

God had other plans. And His plans take priority.

Subject: [COUPERS] loss of a great love

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following

To all my wonderful ercoupe friends across the country. It is with a
heavy heart that I talk to you guys about what probably might be my last
ercoupe
ride. I recently sold the Burgundy Bell to another guy for resale. The
good news is that it wound up in a wonderful home down around T
ample Texas.
The reason I had to sell the coupe is the sad part. For the last few
months, I have felt there was something wrong inside me. I was tired
all the
time, and ran a constant fever. Finally, my wonderful wife threw a big
enough
fit that I went to the hospital to be checked out.

Last week I was diagnosed with a major case of cancer. There is a mass
in my kidney, another in my liver, and it appears that at least three
globules
have broken off and entered my lungs. As of yet my doctors have not
decided what they could do for me. I have faith in my Doctors, and a
total faith
that my future is in Gods hands. The short of it is, that I need your
prayers. I know that most of you do not know me personally, but I would
feel better to know that there are some prayers out there in my behalf.
I have many
many friends here, but I never heard of too many prayers killing a guy. If
there is a prayer in your heart, please mention Jim, Wendy, and Tassie in
Amarillo. Thanks to each and every one of you in advance, and God
bless you all.

I will miss the "Burgundy Belle," and I will miss my love of flight, but
for
now, the priorities have changed.
