Hey, wait one dawl-gone-minute. I was at Steven's Point (drove up in the
morning
to visit some family in Amherst. Heard about the fly-in. Drove over for
about an
hour or so.) and I didn't see no 'coupes. I got there about 1/2 hour after
the C130.
(It flew over my brothers house on the way to the airport. Took me a bit
longer to
drive there.) Where were you hiding that thing?

Hope you took a ride in that Tri-motor. It's probably my #2 favorite
(after the Corsair).
I've done some volunteering a Pioneer airport for the last 5 or 6 years so
I've had my
share of rides (including some right seat time) and it's just a fun
airplane. If anyone
ever gets the opportunity, pay the extra and fly the right seat.

Sorry folks. I won't be at Sunday's meeting in East Troy. I'm heading out
tomorrow
for northern Minnesota and the Boundry Waters. Be gone a week. Have a good
time.

I was there, I was there. One of my high school students, Kurtis
Scholz, and I flew from Wausau to Wild Rose, arriving about 8:45 am,
looked at the planes, (we had the only Ercoupe there) had breakfast,
looked at more planes, gave a local guy a ride, then left for Stevens
Point, where there was another pancake breakfast and airshow. EAA's
Ford Trimotor was selling rides, a C-130 landed right after we did, a
TBM was on the field, along with about 80 other airplanes. (We had the
only Ercoupe there also.) A Sukhoi and an Extra 300 were there to do
the airshow. A thoroughly enjoyable Ercoupe day. I'll try to make it
to East Troy Sunday for our monthly meeting.
