Was getting ready to order some material for the fuel system on N99997
and noticed that the fuel overflow from the header tank drains to both
tanks. There is a "T" fitting at the rear of the tank with one line
going to the normal overflow fitting on the left tank and the other
going to an added "T" fitting on the fuel line off the bottom of the
right tank between the tank and the "T" fitting that connects the two
main tanks and supports the stop valve to the pump. I have studied all
of the fuel systems shown in the manuals and non show a double overflow
system. Anyone out there have the same arrangement. I intend to return
the system to the correct configuration but wonder why the change??.
Also. I am looking for the support that runs across the top of frame
"E" from side to side. My coupe was modified with a home made Large
baggage compartment and that item was replaced with a section of Steel
tubing. Anyone who has done the large baggage compartment and does not
need that part, let me know.
Seems as though everything I work on has been "modified".
