None of the replies that I have read regarding spraying fuel from the wing tank cap mentions the fact that some fuel systems don't have a vent in either wing tank cap. Mine has no vents in the wing tank caps. I don't remember what serial numbers are affected and require unvented caps. My only vent is thru the header tank via the overflow lines and works perfectly. Maybe your plane isn't supposed to be vented in the wings!! My two cents worth.
