With all the talk about oil caps being off, it made me think of
something that I've thought about for years. It's my opinion that every
pilot should carry in the plane at all times, a list of "Things I'll
never do again". Some that readily come to mind are as follows. Let's
see how many things can be added to this list by all our "Flying Aces".

 Take off on one mag.
Take off with carb heat on.
 Take off without checking oil.
Take off without draining fuel sample.
Attempt to climb out with full flaps after missed approach.[Cessna]
Fly blind into sun because of dirty windshield.
Land down wind on a short field.
Take off down wind on a short field.
Call for landing clearance on emergency channel.
Forget to call for clearance from control zone on flight test.
Fly into broken clouds and get disoriented.
Not have appropriate logs and papers in plane.
Don't take off dragging rope and tiedown screw from wing.
Don't take off with electric fuel pump off.[Rallye]
Don't taxi in high winds so plane tips up and hits prop.[Cessna]
Don't flair so nose high you drag the rear tiedown ring.[Tomahawk]
Don't take off when the brakes are dragging badly.
Never put automotive oil in your Continental!.
Don't think if he's that close he must see you.
Absorb criticism and reflect on it, you could be wrong.
Don't think you can outsmart that deer on the side of the runway.
Don't take off with one, no two, no ten wasps in the plane.[ouch]
Never land at a short field with ten pilots watching.
Don't forget to turn off the master switch.

These are a few things that come to mind that I'll never do again.
How about you?
