The Air Vent on my coupe is a inlet on the right side of the nose bowl,
ducted to a outlet in the firewall. The outlet is over the passengers
feet.
The inlet has a butterfly valve, controlled by a push pull on the panel,
to
open and close and also a "kick" plate on the firewall to close again. (I
assume the kick plate is a safety feature to close in case of engine
fire).

The floor boards get hot - this helps. May also cool radios a little. If
you want just a little cool, without opening the windows, it's nice. Like
anything else on the nose bowl, you will pay a little for it with lost
performance - but so small you may never know. It does hamper
performance
like opening the windows - so you can get some cooling on take off (when
the
windows are surpose to be closed).

I like it on mine.

Jack
