Gene: The cables are available from Univair. I don't recall the cost, but it isn't too bad. You will most likely need to ensure that you have the newer cables installed (they are a little shorter than the old models). They were required when the revised quadrant was installed, which did away with the 100 hour/annual inspection requirement. Or if your old style quadrant was modified by increasing the radius of the grooves. Percy just asked for the new part number, so it is in a couple other e-mails. I'm sure that it can be done in the plane, but it won't be easy. I have always done it out of the plane, but that isn't exactly a piece of cake either.
