Yesterday, I was in the front 5 acre field here at the farm, talking to a Health dept man about septic systems, etc; and about Ercoupes, of course. While we were talking, I heard a familiar sound....sure enough overhead flew an Ercoupe right down V-16 ( which goes right over the farm).... I was startled, but was able to point out to the gentleman "there goes an Ercoupe, now" ; see the twin tails ?." He was imnpressed. About 5 minutes later we heard another airplane; looked up and there was another Ercoupe....WOW! We have one Coupe based ar Roanoke, VA., and mine is based at Blacksburg, Va. - with our farm Snakey Acres lying between the two. It sure was great to see the Coupes pass by. I hoped they had landed at Blacksburg to visit my coupe...BUT John Wright, Jr, and John Sr. picked up my coupe on Saturday..to do a full scale re-build.....first time Blacksburg hasn't had a coupe in over 20 years....I am sure the other planes are lonely... Hope the coupers were on the way to Oshkosh....or somewhere fun..The weather has been wonderful for the last week....
