So Fred, does this mean your next x-country will be to Berlin? I hear Nice
is nice this time of year.

For whatever it's worth, I have been using a second hand Lowrance AirMap
for a year now and have no problem at all. Very user friendly and
extremely accurate. Guess it's considered an antique now (came out in
1996) but does everything I want it to do, and does it well...It had
previously been used by the US Navy and still had routes programmed for
all over the world, mostly in the Pacific theater, but a few from off
shore near the coast of France to Germany, then through Italy, to the
Greek isles.
I have been using a Garmin 45 on my boat for a couple years now. Works
very well with an optional external antenna. Can't use it in the ercoupe
because it shuts off whenever the speed exceeds 100 mph...it only has two
places for speed digits.
