I'm just wondering what most of you are paying for an annual. I
just had mine completed, and the dollars were substantial. My mechanic
is very thorough, and I feel this annual has the plane completely up to
speed. But, the inspection alone cost $600.00. Additionally, I was
charged another $800.00 labor for additional work such as: remove and
reinstall new prop and prop hub, replace bearings and races on left
main gear, reseal left brake master cylinder and bleed brakes, install
new batteries in Coupe and ELT, do compass deviation card, inspect
remove and install new fuel pump, replace Aileron Actuator Rod Attach
Bolts and safety wire, fabricate and install all required placards, do
paper work search and inspection, and organize in folder (it needed
this), perform AD search and do all required work and inspections, and
do a run-up with new prop and verify static rpm limits and tach
accuracy. So we're talking 1400.00 labor, plus materials and parts.
How out of line is he?
