Okay, folks, maybe I'm kidding myself, but I'm feeling a bit smug. Yesterday I called the AOPA with the argument that 'we didn't ban cars when a truck blew up a Federal building or tried to blow up the WTC.' In the last half hour, Phil Boyer makes the following argument in the AOPA ( www.aopa.org ) front page (where he reports that GA flights who believed 1100EDT NOTAM got intercepted by F16s): When a truck loaded with explosives blew up the federal office building in Oklahoma City, we didn't ban cars, but there was sure a lot of scrutiny about trucks parked in other locations. Why ban the aviation equivalent of cars, general aviation aircraft flown for business and personal use. Maybe someone else came up with the argument first. But goldangit, let me have my moment of self-delusion :-) Greg ==^================================================================ EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?aVxiLm.aVzvvT Or send an email To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This email was sent to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] T O P I C A -- Register now to manage your mail! http://www.topica.com/partner/tag02/register ==^================================================================
