Dear List,
Went over to Evergreen Airport today to work on plane.
The guy forgot the freeking paint! Guess I have to wait
until tomorrow. He said it'd be here Friday for sure.
My spirits were lifted when I heard the familiar buzz of
a light plane. One of the training Cessna 150's entered
the pattern, and shot a good landing on the grass. The
guy had been over to Scappoose and did not pick up
any F-15's.
So - I have a few things to say:
* to terrors and associated: We're BA-a-a-a-ck. You
did not put us out of business, or break our stride.
* to those on this list, who, shall we say, got a bit
schrill. Keep it Together. But thanks for feeling
strong enough to say something. I'm sure action
came from the athorities faster because of all our
comments.
* to those on this list with words of encouragement/
wisdon: Thank you. Coolness "under fire" is an
admirable quality. `Preeshiate it.
* to myself: Get With It. Airport first thing, with a
brush in your hand.
I will end this with a quote "from the literature," to
go with the good ones we've seen lately:
"I'm back in the saddle again,
Out where a friend is a friend.
Put me on my Ercoupe*,
And just turn me loose,
I'm back in the saddle again."
