Larry,

Because of the limited elevator travel and full span ailerons, the coupe
stalls but resists dropping a wing. It is this resistance to drop a wing
in
the stall that makes the Coupe "Spin-proof". It will however stall quite
nicely.

You will find the same effect when flying a canard. Pull the yoke full
aft
and the planes canard will bobble in and out of the stall. The rear wing
never drops because it stalls at a higher airspeed and is still 'flying'.

A Coupe will not stall! It just mushes down and drops like a rock. Maybe
that's a stall afterall. I
never tried it with full power on and full up elevator. My old Piper Colt
would do the same as the
Coupe, power off, but if you pulled back with full power, she'd scare the
shift out of you as the wing
and nose tried to fall out of the sky.
