Hi Paul,
You are entirely welcome and thanks back attcha for coming so far to
join us! Andy arrived not to
long after you left. He stayed about an hour or so and then headed back up
your way again. He said when
you last talked to him on the radio you were about over Salem and he was
still around Bremerton so
that's why he was so late. Sounds like you both have pretty good radios,
that's a lot of miles!
It was kinda neat having the scanner on the private frequency so I
could hear people call in and
then scramble for the handheld and reply. I think next year I'll have a
tall stool handy to stand on so
I can reply as..... "Walker Tower". <G>
I haven't done a final count yet, but there was in excess of 80 people
there, and those are just the
ones who 'signed-in' so this was our best one yet for attendance and I got
several comments about how
nice the field and runway were. To bad that the "hard surface' folks who
complained last year that
'grass is to rough to land my plane on' didn't come this year, they really
missed a great picnic and all
the antique Planes, Motorcycles and Cars that were there to look at. I
didn't get a chance to count the
cars in that club that I invited but there must have been over 20 I think.
And nearly a dozen
motorcycles.
Thanks again for coming down Paul and spread the word around up in
your area that next will will be
bigger and better!
BTW, we also gained three more new members yesterday!! Their
information will be in my next
newsletter for you to add to your membership directory and to 'officially'
welcome then to our group.

Bye for now..........
