I see we're going to have a little competion to entice Alan to our respective areas. We have some good. clear flying days too in the fall and winter but the weather sure can be unpredictable. Often, but more likely in the summer, the ceilings at the Arcata and Murray Field airports are below even IFR minimums. It's pretty disconcerting, not being able to see the runway until one is below the tops of the trees. But then the redwoods are very tall. Not that I will be able to do this sort of thing for a long time, but I have been with friends who did. :-) Anyway, Alan, I'll send you my tourist promo, complete with pictures.
