----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Actually that's me with the original linkage and automatic carb heat. I've made it so I can easily disable the "automatic" feature once I started landing on grass and sand. T oo much crud can get kicked up taxiing around. Remember, this is independant of the regular carb heat linkage, so it's not a concern. My old engine went way over TBO without much more than standard maintenance. In fact the lowest cylinder compression at the last annual before I switched was 74/80. Maybe the automatic carb heat could've helped in that it kept it rich and may have helped reduce shockcooling somehow.
