Imagine, people being able to move freely about the country. This is not good. And must be stopped. General aviation, and the organizations that support it, will be the next "NRA" type targets of the left. Mayor Daley has only fired the first shot. And the arguments they will use? (In no particular order.) #1 - Small planes aren't safe. People die because of them. Especially innocent people on the ground. "Why if we can save just one life....." #2 - They waste precious natural recourses. (They're gas hogs.) #3 - They pollute. #4 - They're noisy. (Mayor Daley's favorite.) #5 - There are other, more practical, ways to get travel. #6 - We could return thousands of acres of land to nature if we close these unnecessary airports. #7 - Airplanes are a danger to wildlife. (How many precious deer have to be killed in runway incidences before we do something to stop it. And what about the chickadees that die in mid-air collisions?) Anybody wanna add any?
