So what do you all think about these 'Golden Coupes?' I mean, I thought I went a bit off the hook when I bought N99387 (but my wife didn't so maybe I'm Scottish). Not that I've regretted it for a moment. But at $75-100K does that somehow violate the fundamental idea of what an Ercoupe is? When it exceeds the cost of a really nice Bonanza? Should we call John Travolta and suggest that maybe he wants to have a memory of his first airplane love? Or is everyone else like me, just kind of baffled at the whole notion of that kind of tin for a sweet little Ercoupe?
