----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Andy, Reference the 1946 Ercoupe being sold at auction tomorrow at 10am in Meriden Kansas, just Northeast of Topeka, Ks. (Phone number of 785-484-2281). I called the guy (Jerry) today and was told that it had been in the barn about 25 years. It has about 1000 hrs showing in the logs but he thinks another 500 hours may have been flown and not logged. He and his brother or son or some other family member bought it in about 1954, but they bought another airplane shortly after. When the coupe went out of annual they just never flew it again. The tires are flat and none of the AD's have been done after about 1954. The wings are metal. Apparently they were switched out after they bought it. Seems some out fit in Oklahoma or Texas was making metal wings and they flew down and changed the fabric for the metal and flew home the same day. It has no radios. He said about 8 people had called him about it. Ken ==^================================================================
