We concerned former and current Ercoupe owners now have our own organization. Our main hope for this new list is to get to potential owners before they purchase so that they may receive an unbiased opinion regarding the Ercoupe. Also we hope to encourage new AD's to address the fact that this ancient aluminum plane could have corrosion hiding in numerous invisible areas where pieces are riveted together. We estimate that not more that 20 or 30 Ercoupe have ever had these pieces disassembled. This plane had problems when it was newer. Now it is almost 60 years old!
