Happy New Year Coupers, All I do for a preheater is a small portable propane heater that mounts by hose to bottle. The heater is adjustable from 15,000-45,000 B.T.U., it's forced air with built in fan on one end. Sitting level on the floor the heater points up at about a 35-40 degree angle. With the side cowling proped up I lay an old sleeping bag across top of engine cowl and opened cowling and let hang down on opposite side, just to help trap heat. I kept heater back a safe (4-5) ft. and stuck around to closely monitor it the first couple times. Works just great for me! I still stay fairly close, like right outside the hangar staying warm in the car. Takes about 20-35 min. depending on OAT. Bobby "Ma's Mink" 93834
