On our first cross-country, from Columbus OH to Pittstown NJ, N2906H cruised at 100MPH. That was turning 2300RPM on a C85, with the canopy open. We were at or near the 1400 gross weight. 06H has very little extra drag... no instrument venturies, landing lights, etc. No wheel pants. Dual fork nose gear with the snubber cable, and the larger of the wheel size options.
Rate of climb was great from the standard 500MSL intermediate stops (about 750FPM) on a day in the high 80's. With OAT at around 70, by the time we got to 5500 feet to climb over the Alleghenies, ROC was down to around 300FPM. If I shut the canopy, I might get 5MPH extra in cruise. Overall, if you use 100MPH as a planning speed, you'll be fine. Sure makes the math easy.
