Thank you, to all that want to help with Ercoupe to San Diego Air & Space. But we cannot count our chickens yet. Have talked to Director today and to Jay in Florida. Director and staff were talking the other day about this type of a project. Even if this deal
falls through we can start to bring a project together.
1) A hands on display for children to sit in. With control that work. An
intercom that tell them about the controls and what they do.
2) Hopefully a tape background of the tower telling Ercoupe N*****
cleared
to taxi to runway for departure etc, etc.
This is an idea that we've talk about around the hangar for a while.
And
as would be was talking to a fellow that volunteers at the maintenance
shop
about this four to six weeks ago. He liked the Idea and was to talk to his
boss there about it.
The Ercoupe is the perfect airframe for this. With it's low wing and
step
in cockpit. To facilitate handicap children we will open up the pilot
side.So
they also can become be PIC.
Please, If you see other ways to make this a better project for
children
write me your visions.
