Rather abruptly, invitations to airport open-houses and fly-ins are starting to come in. Seems Ercoupes are now interesting curiosities. Some sort of flying Model T. I'm trying to accept where I can.
Does anybody have any explanatory text which I might plagiarize for the purposes of placarding the plane to tell the public what they're looking at? Failing that, I'll just try to hit some of the high points of the Thomas book. Was thinking that some sort of 'Ercoupe Myths' placard might be interesting. If nothing else so I don't have to listen to 18 mavens per diem tell their sons how Ercoupe gear 'castors.'
