It seems my vibration was brought back to normal levels by replacing the
rubber donut in the top of the cowl so that it contacted the filler neck.
I
am thinking that perhaps many of the vibrations reported on the Ercoupes
are
due to the cowl, not the engine.  I could have sworn mine was cutting out
on
one cylinder below at 2100!  I even thought I had traced down a weak
cylinder but the compression test said otherwise.  Glen Ward
