The receiver did not change. The transmitter did so you should see
improvement. I would think that number of satellites you could see would
now
be the biggest determining factor.

I noticed the biggest improvement in altitude. Sitting in my front yard
the
GPS would vary sometime 400 feet. Now it doesn't change more than 10.
