Coupers; We took off a few minutes before sunrise this AM from Pecos, TX
with
a temperature of 75 degrees. No problems were encountered, unless you
count
having to wait almost 2 hours for a rental car, getting to Silver City,
NM.
We spent about 4 hours getting to and from the Gila cliff dwellings, and
about an hour and a half looking at the ruins and artifacts. It is truly
amazing what these people did in the early 13th century. This side trip
was
well worth the time it took.
In addition, we got to meet fellow Coupers, Dick and Joan Chevalier, from
Columbus, NM. What a treat! They flew up to Silver City to meet us and
have
dinner together. We had a terrific time talking about our Coupes and other

flying experiences. Thank you very much Dick and Joan. I also have to give

the 10 year old grandson an attaboy for being courteous and polite this
evening.
The Coupe continues to perform well at 8500 feet in density altitudes
around
10,000. Tomorrow we hope to get to the 4 corners area to see the Aztec
ruins.
Keep em flying Coupers.
