Coupers; After a day of rest and muscle relaxers plus lots of aspirin, we
are
back on the road. Everyone at the Whisky Creek Airport was very nice and
helpful. IF you have a need to stop near there, I highly recommend it. We
got
off late because we had to wait for transportation to the airport (the
taxi
was making a cargo run to El Paso). We were airborne about 0900 and landed
at
Farmington (FMN) NM 3 hours and 15 gallons later. We chose to fly direct,
which caused us to bump along most of the way even though we got up to
11,500ft. However, the flight was otherwise uneventful. The trip meter on
the
Magellan GPS now shows exactly 24 hours and 2280 miles since last
Saturday,
AM. This AM, the Coupe was cruising at 90 mph indicated, using 2700 rpm at

11,500 feet. The Oat was 45 degrees F and pressure of 32.05 inches of
mercury.
Apparently, there is a Rodeo and the Collegiate world series of baseball
going on, so it was tough to find a hotel room. After striking out several

times, the gal at the Four Corners FBO desk called in a marker and got us
a
room at the Holiday Inn. We checked in right away to ensure that it did
not
evaporate on us, and then headed for the Aztec Ruins National Park. Wow!
Another very interesting place. Those builders knew what they were doing
in
the 13th, century. It was much easier to get to than the cliff dwellings,
so
if you are pressed for time, this is the one to choose. But go to both if
you
can.
