David, But this is not limited to Ercoupes. That is true of all GA
aircraft. Stop by any airshow not many airplanes there don't have
something
to be gigged for. (gig is a demerit in the service for you none military
types) Like myself.
Yes, one hundred % it is easier to do it right the first time. But it
is
even easier not to do it. My Alon is pretty well been done right. But
there
are things I can see in the airplane that were not reported in the logs.
And
I don't note them to my AI why look for trouble. For one I have had gear
leg
bolts broken. (Two owners before me.) Damage repaired no 337. And as I see
it
no need. I and an A&P looked it over. Job done is fine.
Jolly, I am not picking on AI's in general only the one that are nit
picky. All trades have problems. I hate what has happened to my trade.
Plumbers are hard to find, Rip off people are every where. As with AI
there
are good honest one and one that will trash you. First safety, then
safety.
Not $$$ then safety. Safety and rain proof gas caps come on get real.
