I too am looking to replace my radio. Currently have nav/com and see no reason to get another nav.
I know that some of the VOR's transmit AWOS information. I.E. 108.6 for IJX. The com's that I have looked at only receive in freq range 118. to 136.xxx. Are there coms that receive the lower NAV ranges?
