Coupers; The weather was clear with about 10 miles visibility this AM. The 12 year old who had never flown in a small plane before treated it as a "no big deal" until we were back on the ground. Then he could not stop telling
his mom about what he had done and seen. I heard lots of "I flew the plane, I helped land, I am ready to go again, etc.". That is the sort of thing that makes this trip really worth while. When I asked Joel what he liked about what we did today, he said that giving his new friend Chris his first small plane ride was the highlight of the day. Then he added "I also liked going to the worlds largest outdoor store (Bass Pro Shop) and playing miniature golf." I must admit that I have never been in a store like the one that Bass Pro Shop has here in Springfield. Joel thought that the catalog outlet store was big until we went across the street to the real store. We spent at least 3 hours there and still did not see it all. I highly recommend it as a stop for every one of all ages. I have to thank Ken and Lois Doyle for getting us here. We have had a great two days, they have put us in their lovely home, and given us wheels to drive. Super. Tomorrow we are heading for Kentucky to see Mammoth Cave, and then head north to Wisconsin.
