Jack, re Branson, Mo. Being near the area I'm compelled to promote it as a destination.
I know its not Florida, but it does have a lot to offer if you are looking for a place to go. Its not all county music by any means, although that is certainly available, as is hillbilly and bluegrass music :-). But there are lots of other entertainment theaters too; like Andy Williams, and Shoji Tabuchi who probably puts on the best show in the best theater. More importantly there is a nice boating lake, too much shopping and other attractions in the area; eg, caving (lots of commercial and non-commercial caves), canoing on several streams and rivers, first class trout fishing, Bass Pro (a must see hunting and fishing sports store in Springfield, MO), and several very nice resorts for just lounging and/or engaging in water sports on the lake. (Coupe tie-in): There are also lots of small airports for bouncing back and forth to just for fun. Enjoy your trip.
