have one ready to go next month (I HOPE). I have gone through everything,
and
it is either rebuilt or new. A few particulars:
N86997, born on DEC 15th 1945, Serial # 170, 415D
approximately 1200 hr. TT, Zero since major overhaul
with a C-85, also Zero since major overhaul
fresh overhaul on a McCauley 71 X 50 prop
All new or overhauled instruments, including an electric turn coord.
New MICROAIR 760 radio, NARCO AT150 with encoder,
New tires and Cleveland brakes.
The "I hope" is because I still have to paint everything before we can put
it
together, and I will not put the engine together until the airplane is
ready
to go so that it can be flown right away.
If someone is interested, they can chose their own colors both inside and
out
for about the next week. After that it will be white with maroon trim
outside
and grey with maroon inside.
