Well, All Glen has a point kind of. My Father was a supporter of MMO.
But
he used it in both. I on the other hand I seldom us it.
But Glen your comment on old cyl. I think is off base. And the comment
by
Lynn I think I have to question also if I understand what he said. I not
sure
I did.
First the only problem with sticking Valve I have ever had was on a 0
time
engine. After the break in was done. (new glides etc.) I don't think the
comment on old cyl. holds water. When your cyl. are 80/80. New or old
makes
no difference.
Now for Lynns comment on reaming your valve guild. The way I think he
said
it is that the fellow said to ream them out to full spec. With spec. you
have
a +/- If you ream to full + all wear will put them out of spec. So I hope
he
was implying to the - spec.
Also someone said something about reamer wearing and that it would cause

the clearance to be off. Man your talking about a sh** load of reaming to
do
that. And there are adjustable reamer that go to +/- to get just the size
you
want.
As posted before Cyl heads are the first to go. High temp and a lot up
and
downs on them small moving part. And I'll give Glen credit on old cyl with

lots of time or that have been sitting around may cause problems. But a
cyl
because of it age, NOT.
