In timing mags, you will use the BUZZ box, to see when the contacts brake. Twenty years ago I was told that you could not use a volt meter to do this because the electric of the volt meter would cause the mag magnet to demagnetize its self. When the magnet does not touch anything how can this happen? I am wanting to know if this is a true statement, and if it is, can someone please explain.
