I missed the original post however I'd like to add a seatbelt comment.
When I had my encounter with the C-17 wake turbulence and broke
out my canopy with my head, the only reason I didn't part company with
73H was the seatbelt.

As it was, my head was far enough into the slipstream that I lost
my headset.

I don't think it will be me who doesn't buckle up.
