The "rope trick" may work fine for some, but the caution is : Any time foreign material is ingested, both the long and short term problems that could result is not worth it. Rope, which is made of cotton, hemp, nylon etc. will not desolve, therefore any fibres that remain can get into oil pumps, behind rings, bearings etc. and generally really mess up your engine. If you choose to use rope, make sure the ends are sealed well, that there are no abrasions on the rope itself, and that it's clean. Doug
