I agree.  It is very hard to put 4.5 quarts in the sump without it
overfilling.  It basically was an attempt to avoid overheating when the
C75
is uped to a C85.  Since I have the extra baffling and a spin on oil
filter,
overheating has not been an issue and I usually run between 3.5 and 4
quarts.  I can get it up to the 4.5 qt line but I rarely bother. 

My main point was that there really is only one oil sump for the C75 and
C85.  I did not want the person looking for one to find a "4 qt sump" and
decide it would not work.  As I remember there is a long neck and a short
neck version of the C85 sump.  I forget which one is normally used but I
think it is in the Univair catalog.
