Today I had planned to fly down to Olympia and pick up one
of my daughters who had the day off. I was going to take her
to lunch at Bremerton and return to Olympia.

When I landed at Oly, the tower asked me where I wanted
to park. I replied that I wasn't too sure--- I wanted to meet my
daughter at the terminal. They asked me what kind of car she
had and spotted her with their binoculars. After directing me to
where she was, we found the terminal hadn't opened yet and there
was no access to the field. They then directed her to the tower
parking and let her out their field access gate.

What service!! I wonder if I would have gotten the same attention
if I had a 150. At my home field they recognize me right off and
generally grant my taxi clearance without me asking. Ercoupes
have many advantages!

On the lunch. On the way to Bremerton we had to dodge too many
low clouds and rain. During the time between when I gotten the weather
brief, and when we were actually on our way, things had deteriorated
enough that I landed at Tacoma and took my daughter to lunch and
back to Olympia via the freeway. :-(

Cheers:
