Remarks regarding William Duschene's Trimble GPS that he has for sale. If I did not already have one, I would buy it. Sounds like it is a Flightmate Pro. It has a worldwide database. Find airports (by name or identifier), VOR's, more. It has a multinav screen with all the nav info on one screen including a course deviation indicator. I have one. They sold for $750 new. Trimble will update your database for $150. I have never had mine updated. Airports don't move. However, if I planned to embark on an extended vacation with many stops in several states, I would go ahead and get the update, it contains a lot of navaids. I imagine that this unit has much the same features and database as does the Trimble panel mount units that they sell now. It is easy to use. Intuitive. You can almost use it without the manual. I really like mine, it is the second one I have had. My first was a plain Flightmate which I sold on compuserve's classified ads two years ago for $250 with no accessories. The one I have now is a Flightmate Pro with all the accessories that William lists with his. It is a very high quality unit and has a better receiver than most. If you are thinking of getting a GPS, I recommend this one and it is a real good deal.
