Electric fuel pump in parallel with the mechanical pump? Anything you can get the FAA to sign-off on is allowed. You'd have to have one-way valves so the output of the good pump doesn't just go into the bad pump. A lot of low wing planes have dual fuel pumps. How does a Cherokee do it? Perhaps you could pick a certified fuel system configuration you like, duplicate it and turn in a form 337.
Query: What fuel pump snafu is problematic enough to make you need a supplement to the fuel pump? The fuel pump is just a filler to the header tank unless you've removed the header tank for some reason. Robert Graves wrote: > > I have a 1946 415C with a C75-12 that has had some fuel pump snafus.
