My Alon has single landing light installations on both
wings. I'd like to polish the plex inside surface and
someday may have to replace a light, but I have no
instructions. The lamp mounting bracket is riveted in place
in the wing, so it looks like the only way to work on it is
to:

(1) loosen the screws holding the lens in place.
(2) slide the lens to one side.
(3) remove one screw.
(4) slide the lens in the other direction and remove another
screw and a lens retainer.
(5) remove the lens through the wing opening.

Is that how you do it? I know it should be obvious, but the
nuts on the retainers holding the lens are not rivnuts, but
are nylocks that can not be reached to keep from turning. Is
that how your landing lights are assembled?
