Kudo's to Bob Condon and Harry Francis for the proper diagnosis. Elbow to
cylinder gasket on #4 was blocking about 1/4 of the intake tube. Part of it had been sucked into the opening. At idle it was pulling outside air, and as the rpm
came up it was getting enough fuel to fire.
 
As to the other suggestions..... I'll file them away for the next hiccup in the
works. Speed is about 112 straight and level, must be those gigantic new
tundra tires I got hanging out there.
 
The sky was clear, the wind calm......warp factor 5 Mr. sulu......
