Could this be a stuck float?? Before I had my Stromberg carb cleaned and the needle valve re-seated, the gas dripped out of the Carb heat manifold below the carb because the float valve leaked. This was, of course, just sitting on the ground with the fuel valve on. In my case it apparently was not enough extra gas to cause it to run excessively rich. Wayne N3544H
