A discussion is ongoing on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] thread about the
proper torque values for wing attachment bolts. I have not been able to
find
any references or values published.

I think it is correct that these large bolts are "Close Tollerance" bolts,

and must not be replaced with just any same size AN bolts, as they are is
shear load as opposed to tension loads.

Are various size "close tolerance" bolts available if the current Bolt to
fitting clearance is excessive?

Again, I understand the proper fitting is a "Double thumb push fit", and
there should be NO looseness in the bolt/fittings - Is this a correct
understanding?

The group will appreciate your technical correct comments. Maybe your
comments will also help prevent the installation of regular AN bolts --as
opposed to the requirement for a Close Tolerance Bolt assy, and possible
wing
attachment failure.
