Steve, By your N-number you have an early 46 Ercoupe. Your wing tanks (unless converted) are steel. So you will not have the gauge that the list
has been talking about. I'm guessing on the right side interior you have a
site gauge? A tube that tells you your amount of gas. The gauge that all
the
talk is about is on the left by your left knee. That is if your Coupe has
9
gallon tanks. There are also 8 gallon tanks that do not have the gauge by
your knee.
The steel tanks are smooth across the top. The 8 gallon aluminum tanks
have rinsed ridges. A lot of steel were removed and replaced with aluminum
in
years past before costs when to the moon.
